Healing Family

As we continue to develop the Medicine Wheel healing center we have begun to build a family of spiritual mentors, therapists, and specialists. Our team includes

Patricia Star Dancer Selinger:

Pat Star Dancer is the Thunder Mountain Lenapé Nation Turtle Clan Mother.  As such she has responsibility for the survival, growth and success of her family clan members. Pat has a degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and worked in the field of social work for 13 years both as a caseworker and as an executive director.  She currently works with her husband in their own business.

She has served as a spiritual advisor for the Pa State prisons, as well as several county prisons.  She trained Chaplains regarding Native American spiritual needs. She also spoke before the House of Representatives regarding Native American prisoners spiritual needs.  For the last several years the House of Representatives has congratulated the Thunder Mountain Lenapé Nation for their work in a resolution.

She brings a unique blend of Lenapé, Native American tradition and training, professional psychological training and the practicality of developing and running a business, as well as a passionate knowledge that all have the ability and responsibility to heal themselves and Mother Earth. She uses a non-invasive gemstone therapy based on the stones of the medicine wheel together with guided meditation.

CJ Wisdomkeeper Frank:

CJ Wisdomkeeper, RN, CSP, is a Master Healer versed in Native American Ritual and Original Medicine. She uses a unique blend of Eastern and Western medicine, spiritual counseling, and hands on healing as part of her sessions. She is a Certified Zen Shiatsu Practitioner from UPMC Shadyside Hospital. (Zen Shiatsu is using intention, along with finger pressure, to address conditions in the body that cause pain and disease).

As an advanced student and graduate of Cellular Expansion and Healing, she works in unison with the client to release disease at the cellular level. A beekeeper of 10 years, she is one of five Bee sting therapists in Western Pa, and is published in The Journal of the American Apitherapy Society. For those open to a more expanded possibility of moving through life issues, she also offers Plant – Spirit – Healing.

CJ also works with the Four Directions of the Medicine Wheel in her sessions, to bring balance and harmony to those interested in these aspects of life.

Gretchen Schmitt

RD, LDN Registered Dietitian 24 years providing Dietetic consultations and educational Nutritional Workshops on the following aspects of clinical nutritional care: General Wellness/Safe Weight Loss/Disease Management/Eating HealthySpecial Diets/Menu Planning and Counseling for DiabeticsGretchen worked in acute health care setting for many years i.e., Forbes Regional Health Center : Connellsville Highlands Hospital and Health Center and is a part-time faculty member at Westmoreland County Community College since 2006 and taught Nutrition at the Youngwood and New Kensington campus.

Gretchen also presents entertaining and educational lectures that range from Dietetics, Nutrition, Herbs and Spices, Herbal Cookery, Teaism, and Beekeeping. A published author, “Honey For All,” details the history of honey, reviews honey Beekeepers tips and serves as a Honey Heirloom Keepsake through poetry and thoughtful thoughts.
